High-Level Meeting on regional zones of peace - General Assembly, 79th session.

  The high-level meeting convened in collaboration with the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs will provide an opportunity to exchange views and aims to promote the existing regional zones of peace, to encourage cooperation between them and to foster friendly relations and confidence among nations and regions . The successful experiences of existing zones of peace could be considered as lessons to encourage cooperation elsewhere.
